IN the same freaking month as well!!

Of course I don't know what I should post. I worked 20 extra hours this week. Most of them on Saturday. 16+ hours straight. I am a little tired, and I am picking up extra hours this week.

Got my car fixed. New battery! Oh yeah, it died thursday at work. Luckily a friend drove me home and another one drove me to work. Missed about 3 hours of work friday because of the car. That sucks. But the people I bought the car from added the price of the tow and the battery to my account instead of making me pay out of my pocket. That was really nice.

Had my kids today. We just hung out. Watching movies and eating all day. It was fun. A few fights between the kids but I nipped that in the bud quickly. It was great just hanging out with the kids. A little sad tho. My 6 year old boy (the middle child) the first thing out of his mouth is "I want to live with you, Mommy." That is so hard to hear. It just tears at my heart. I wish he could live with me, I wish all 3 of my children could live with me. And I do predict some day soon they will.

I have mediation on wednesday. To rework the "parenting plan". The ex doesn't like to follow it and likes to make up his own rules. State of Nebraska says we have to go thru mediators before we can go to court. Guess we'll see how that goes on wednesday.

Anyway, I should get home and into bed. It's a busy day for me tomorrow. Alesha to physical therapy, bible study, Bruce to dialysis, hang with Maile and then work 3:30 to midnight. Then work at 8am tuesday to 11 , financial aid meeting at noon, lunch with friends at 1pm then work again at 5:30.

I am so very tired right now.

So my daughter does something pretty bad and out of character for her, so the ex has grounded her. No tv, no x-box and no phone. Well, he states the no phone includes me talking to my daughter every night. She is not allowed to talk to me on the phone at all this week. I personally would not include that as a priviledge like tv or the x-box. I have one chance to talk to my children once a night. I can call them on my lunch break from work. (I work second shift.) But I am not allowed to talk to my daughter all week because she is grounded.

Do you think this is fair?

Reminds me of when I told my boys they would be grounded and wouldn't be able to see me on my sundays because they were misbehaving. I was reemed by the ex stating that wasn't a fair punishment for them. It's not a priviledge to see me, it's their right. Well, it's not a priviledge for my daughter to talk to me it's her right. And I also feel it's not fair since WE BOTH tell her she can call me whenever she wants no matter the time of day or night or the reason. She can always talk to her mommy.

Also, I don't think anyone in their camp has thought that my daughters misbehavior is her way of acting out the current situation. She was unable to see me this weekend because I was very sick, I didn't have my sunday. And she does this thing at school within the past 2 days. Interesting.

I have been having some long talks with my daughter. She has said some pretty interesting things to me lately. She hates the way daddy is always kissing his girlfriend in front of her. I was asking my daughter if it was ok if mommy got a boyfriend and her first response was "Don't sleep with him like the way daddy sleeps with [her]. And you are not allowed to kiss him in front of me the way daddy is always kissing [her.] If you must kiss him, do it in a different room. I don't like seeing that. At all." She was very serious and adamant. Too serious and worried for an eight year old.

Not having a car sucks. Had to walk home saturday night. In the snow, uphill and freezing temperatures. And sick to boot. But that is all I'm going to say about that.

Finally ordered my battery for my phone. Turns out my battery has been recalled. That would explain why it gets hot when I talk on the phone for a long time. And here I thought it because of the conversations I was having. -grin-

Documentation and voice mails are a good thing.
